PLACES TO GET YOUR GROCERIES/MEDS DELIVERED DURING COVID-19 CURFEW HOURS Leave a comment
***Please note that this is a working list. We’ll be adding more places as we find more details about them. If you do happen to deliver or know a place that does grocery/medicine deliveries amid curfew, please let us know in the comments section so we can state them here as well.***
So far we’ve found 25 places in and out of Colombo that deliver groceries, other daily essentials and medicine to your doorstep during these curfew hours.
Groceries
PickMe Food
PickMe Food has been delivering groceries for months now, but this time around, they’ve teamed up with Sathosa, to make sure that you have enough groceries, dry rations and daily necessities, even during curfew hours. This service is currently available within 6km radius from Vauxhall Street. The deliveries will be done within 24 hours; more details can be found here.
Arpico Supercentre
Arpico has grocery packages available from Rs. 1000, but you can add more items to the same but they’re subject to availability.
Keells
Keells takes a limited number of orders per day and the delivery is done within 48 hours. The orders can be placed through https://int.keellssuper.net/ and it’s payable by cards as well. The delivery areas include Colombo, Maharagama, Moratuwa, Kiribathgoda, Kalalgoda, Wattala and its suburbs.
Cargills Food City
Cargills Food City delivery service operates with over 300 islandwide outlets. You get to customise your grocery bag, with a minimum order value of Rs. 2000, and a maximum quantity applies too. The branch list, along with their contact details can be found here.
Trillium Deli
Trillium Deli’s vegetable delivery service has no restrictions on maximum order quantity, and they accept card payments. Call 0112514545.
The Fruit Station
In this hour of need, The Fruit Station has started to deliver veggies within Colombo 1 -15, and they’re available in two packs; Jumbo (Rs. 1500) and Budget (Rs. 750). However, you can these customised too, in case if it exceeds the quantities of the Jumbo pack. WhatsApp your orders to 077289167/0772
Pelwatte Diary
Order up your favourite yoghurts, butter, ice cream and milk powder by Pelwatte Diary. They have four packages available, and the pricing varies from Rs. 1500 to Rs. 5000. The delivery is available throughout Colombo, Kalutara and Gampaha, and you can place the orders by texting or WhatsApping them to 0710215162.
Nut House
Nuts are rich sources of fibre and protein, which would keep you full for a long time in a very healthy way. Nut House has all things nuts, and an array of dates, and dried fruits, and they do deliveries to Colombo and its suburbs. Orders can be placed via 0770077951.
Lucky Stores
Lucky Stores can deliver groceries, cake and biriyani ingredients to those of you who live in Mount Lavinia and Dehiwala, and the orders must be placed between 9.00 AM and 1. 00 PM. The minimum order value should be Rs. 2500, and for further inquiries, send a WhatsApp text to 0759724208.
City Mom – Kalutara
For those of you who live in Kalutara, City Mom is delivering daily essentials, and it’s free of a delivery fee. Call up 0715884355 for more details.
Fresh Cart – Galle
Fresh Cart delivers vegetables and other groceries within the city limits of Galle. You can either drop a WhatsApp/Viber text to 0778257357 or give a call to 0725444888 or 0914946888 with your order.
quickshoplk.com – Kalutara
A venture by Kalutara municipal council, quickshoplk.com has 6 grocery packages available varying from Rs. 500 to Rs. 3000, and also gas cylinders. You can place the order through the website itself. They deliver medicine too; all you have to do is uploading the prescription here, or WhatsApp it to 0759259847. All the deliveries are entitled to a delivery fee, and you can call 0717811711 (Pramila) for more details.

LAUGFS Gas
LAUGFS delivers gas cylinders to locations in Colombo 1 – 15 and Gampaha. All you have to do is calling up 0114427427.
Litro
Litro delivers gas cylinders on their own too. Go through this post, and you will be able to find the respective Litro Gas merchant in your area that you should get in touch with.
Furthermore, PickMe Food has partnered up with Litro to deliver gas cylinders as well.
Meds
Park Hospitals
For those of you who live in Colombo 1 – 15, Dehiwala, Nugegoda, Maharagama and Kotte, Park Hospitals is capable of delivering your medicine. All they need is a clear picture of the prescription sent through WhatsApp/Viber along with the delivery address, and the medicine will be at your doorstep within 24 hours.
healthnet.lk
healthnet.lk is an online pharmacy that promises to deliver your medicine within 48 hours, due to the limited number of operational hours. You can place the orders between 9.00 am – 5.00 pm every day, and the deliveries will be made from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm (not on the same day). The payments should be done online.
Medihelp
Medihelp is a network of private hospitals that operates with five pharmacies. Their door to door delivery facility is available in Colombo 3,4,5,6,7,8, Dehiwala, Mount Lavinia, Rathmalana, Moratuwa, Panadura, Kohuwala, Pepiliyana, Boralesgamuwa, Piliyandala, Kesbewa, Bandaragama, Horana, Nugegoda, Nawinna, Maharagama, Pannipitiya, Kottawa, Nawala, Rajagiriya, Kotte, Battaramulla, and Thalawathugoda. Your prescription should be sent to 0767545453 through WhatsApp, and the delivery will be done within 24 hours. They offer flat delivery fee of Rs. 200, and you can opt for card payment or cash on delivery.
Softlogic Life
Softlogic Life’s medicine delivery system is now active. WhatsApp your prescription to 0765148892, and it’s free delivery within 20km radius from Colombo.
